MIAC 2015-16 Middle School Girls Basketball Playoff Bracket
This team strikes you alike every other team out there in beginning of any season of any sport. Approaching our first game of the season, we had few stumbles here and there in terms of not having found the right ember of confidence or positive attitude to light up, yet. After those stumbled moments, we knew that we had to establish team goals and one of which is a team motto that reflects the girls’ beyond imaginable effort and spirit, “All out, all game, all season.” Because of the consistent support each member had for each other and the energizing fire of spirit from the
players on the bench, winning the championship title was certainly inevitable for this special group of young girls. It was completely earned not given. With that having been said, to state how proud we are of this team is beyond measurable.
Coach Michele & Coach Amelia
We couldn’t be more proud of our girls’s efforts as they showed confidence, determination, and had fun playing. Winning the MIAC championship is a tremendous accomplishment!

On Friday October 3rd, Mount Airy Christian Academy competed against reigning champions Greater Grace Christian Academy for the MIAC postseason championship. On a frigid night at Cedar Lane Regional Park, both teams found it hard to create opportunities against each other’s defenses. With no goals scored before half time, the teams came back out for the second half, ready for that one opportunity to give their team the win. That moment came midway through the second half as Lions striker Judge Russell chased down a ball on the left wing and placed a shot over the opposing goalkeeper. Goal Mt. Airy! With about 20 minutes left to play, the Lions held firm on defense and shut it down until the final whistle blew. Final score—Mt. Airy Christian Academy-1, Greater Grace Christian Academy -0. Congratulations to both teams on a well-played match, and congratulations to the Lions on their first ever MIAC championship!
